Curse squad already made their new organization proud by making it to the final of THOR Open, defeating Anexis 2-0 in the semi-final (16-5 on de_dust2_se & 16-11 on de_nuke_ve).
Group B's top team Anexis, who won all three of their matches yesterday, met with Finns Curse who made it through Group A with just one win and two losses, making the Danes favorites in this semi-final clash of THOR Open.
It kicked off on de_dust2_se with Curse winning the knife round and starting as terrorists. Anexis took the initial lead though following a good A retake, which they repeated in the first buy round thanks to Morten "coloN" Johansen's two kills in a 2-on-3 putting them up 3-0.
Jonas "ScurK" Finnilä's 1vs1 in B brought Curse their first round and the second one followed right after. But the Danish team still stayed up, winning the next two important rounds for 5-2.
A simple rush at long A helped Curse break their opponents' momentum once again and they started building up their own. Finnish team's in-game leader Timo "REFLEX" Rintala won a 1-on-1 by preventing Jacob "Pimp" Winneche to defuse in the last second and made the score 5-4.
The double AWP defense from Anexis with Winneche and Johansen didn't pay off for them and Curse took their first lead with 6-5. At that point, the Finns horrors from day one returned, as Aleksi "allu" Jalli's PC crashed and the match was paused for over 20 minutes.
Unlike yesterday, their frustrations weren't felt in-game when the match continued as they closed out the half with a 10-5 lead. In fact, they played even better and took the second pistol round as well, putting them up 13-5 after the save rounds.
In the first buy round of the second half, Curse opted for a very aggressive push up middle and it paid off as they went up 14-5, with Rintala getting 3 kills. The same player opened the next round with another 3 kills and his team was up 15-5.
That made it thirteen rounds in a row for Curse, and the 14th one sealed the map for them, coming back from 2-5 to win 16-5 on de_dust2_se and to go up 1-0 in the semi-final at THOR Open.

The match continued on de_nuke_ve where Curse prolonged their streak (if we don't count the knife round), as they easily went up 3-0.
They executed a very interesting strat in the first buy round, quickly going down vents and planting in the lower bombsite which brought them a 4-0 lead. The Finns kept notching up rounds, with Aleksi "allu" Jalli winning a 1-on-2 for 7-0.
It was only in the 9th round that Anexis snapped out of it after scoreboard leader Joona "natu" Leppänen attempted a 1vs3, but Johansen stopped him in the end to make the score 8-1. With the 22-round winning streak from Curse finally ended, Anexis managed to start their own, successfully defending five times in a row.
They were about to make that six, but Curse converted a 3-on-3 with very low health and the score became 9-5. The last round of the first half also went to the Finns, making the half time score same as in the first map, 10-5.
Despite of being down at the half and in maps, Anexis didn't roll over and give up, instead winning the second pistol round and the first buy round of the second half to reduce the deficit to 10-9.
Instead of saving, Curse bought what they could in the 20th round, with Timo "REFLEX" Rintala taking a MAG7 shotgun into the action, using it to make the first three frags of the round and keep his team ahead 11-9.
The next round came down to a 1vs1 and Anexis' Winneche will count himself lucky to have won it with only 2hp remaining. The score became 11-11 after an eco by Curse, but that was all that the Danes could muster in this match.
Jalli's AWP outside and Rintala's MAG7 in the hut stopped Anexis in the next couple of rounds for 13-11 and the Danes were unable to find a way through after that, which brought the match to a close at 16-11.

Curse have now made their way to their first CS:GO final where they will fight NiP for a ~$15,000 cheque, and this result has certainly already made their new organization proud. Anexis will battle with Lemondogs in the 3rd place clash for ~$1,500.
